Background
The L.I.V.E. concept goes beyond the traditional home security systems and the push button pendant to alert
the caregiver that something has happened to the individual. In addition to incorporating security and alerting,
L.I.V.E. incorporates the prevention of events which can cause the individual to have to push the panic button or
fail to push the panic button because the are unable to do so. By unobtrusively monitoring the routine daily
activities of the individual and tracking these, we have a predictor of what can and should be done on a daily basis.
Variations from this routine can be used to trigger alarms to the caregiver that something needs immediate attention
or should be brought to a medical professionals attention for further analysis.
